Love In A Sailboat

I bought this one a good while ago but forgot to get it onto the blog. What of it? It's by Humör clothing in Denmark (the website is a bit mental), and purchaseable through JOY. It's got good features - extra stripes across the back at the top, and coloured buttons on the cuff.

Also, it's brought out some recognition. A girl in a pub spotted it from JOY and gave me some props, and at Streatham Kite Festival a friend I didn't know was there recognised the sweater before they recognised me. It's official - this sweater gives you swag.

OWLin' Rain

There was the option of buying a similar sweat with an aztec wolf on it from the same good people at Art Disco, but the owl just had it for me. Don't get me wrong, I like wolves but the hypnotic gaze of the owl took me to the checkout.

It's worth pointing out that I ordered this on Monday and received it on Tuesday without having to specify any express options. The packaging was neat and small, the ink is eco-friendly and there was even a ribbon tied round the jumper with curled ends.

You Massive Anchor

This purchase from asos has been a threefold success:

  1. It's a great jumper... ASOS own brand, good quality, solid design, on trend - 'nautical is so hot this season', and a fundamentally inoffensive and agreeable sweat for everyday life.
  2. On attending the Roller Derby (check it out, it's brilliant) at Earls Court to cheer on a pal in the London Roller Girls league... I discovered she rolls for a team called Harbour Grudges, who's schtick is nautical.
  3. The realisation that if I humorously attach a badge to the top left of the jumper (as you look at it) with a 'W' on it... I can bring on someone serious Lulz.

Say Aaaaaaah

Lazy Oaf have produced something that is truly wondrous: the Shut Your Mouth men's sweatshirt. It's a royal blue sweatshirt with a zip up mouth that flaps open when the zip is moved to reveal a teeth and tongue image inside. You had us at zip up mouth... hell, you had us at royal blue sweatshirt. They design all their own stuff: hats off to Gemma Shiel and the team at Lazy Oaf.

It wins big: it looks good with the mouth closed but then it gives more. You can EVEN store stuff in the pocket... like some pens... or a biscuit. Brilliant.
